Old Blogs!!

So randomly I decided to try to log into my Myspace account (really who uses this anymore??). It's been a few years since I logged in. I found some really cute little blogs that I'd posted that I really don't want to lose... So as odd as it may be, I'm gonna post them on here along with the date they were originally posted :) I'm not going to post the blogs in their entirety because parts of them I just no longer care about nor care to remember.

Coen's First Surgery!!
k so lets start out with a little background info... last winter coen had 11 major ear infections in just 6 months... you do the math... many times we had one in each ear... basically he was on antibiotics all freaking winter... every 3 weeks we started a new run of antibiotics... so his dr said he needed tubes... well sadly i didn't have insurance nor did i have much money so unfortunately he wasn't able to get tubes last year... well this year he started getting sick again and yeah i wasn't very happy! so we went to an ENT and he said ASAP coen needed tubes in both ears and at the same time needed his tonsils and adenoids out... WHAT! 3 surgeries at once on a 2 year old... yeah scared the hell out of me but he told me that if we didn't do all 3 then it would be worthless because the infections were caused by a combo of all 3 issues... so we scheduled the surgery... and last week Chris took coen to his pre-opp appointment. everything looked good and we got 4 freaking prescriptions!! yesterday 12/5, i got them filled at sam's club... thank god for their cheap prescriptions... they were able to fill 3 of them for only $21!!! i was shocked! haha... at about 4 that afternoon i received a phone call saying that coen was going to be the first surgery!! we had to be there at 6AM! k we live in Riverton... the surgery is at Primary Childrens... it's a freaking 45 minute drive!! ugh... so dark and early we woke up (have to say dark because it was 4:30 and yeah the sun wasn't up yet) and got us dressed and threw ourselves in the car... got up there and got checked in... coen got to play with lots of toys... the room was PACKED! so many kids getting early morning surgery... we got him back and first found out that he's 37 pounds and exactly 3 feet tall haha... BIG KIDDO! then he got to put on some stellar yellow pjs... he was ok taking off his football pjs since the new ones were yellow; his fav color for the time being haha... then came the versaid (spelling??)... basically 10 minutes later he was just a vegetable hahaha he couldn't move but wow he laughed a lot... then the wheeled him back and we said goodbye and we were told we had 30 minutes til the surgery would be over... we raced to the cafeteria to grab food haha we were starving! then rushed back up... Bev & Ted (chris's aunt and uncle who we live with and coen's surrogate grandparents) were there waiting with us... the dr came back insanely quickly haha i figured that it would take a while... and GREAT NEWS... all went well! his tonsils were gigantic but there was no live infection and there was no fluid in his ears! all good signs... and a few minutes later i got called back to post-opp recovery... he was screaming his head off and scrambling around the bed... the nurse said he was quite upset to get laid down and all he wanted was to be cuddled. so they got me a rocking chair and i got to cuddle my baby... everytime someone would touch him he would get very upset and start crying and he HATED the IV... but that was the only 2 things he complained about. a few minutes later we got moved to the recovery room and chris got to come in. coen only wanted to be cuddled. got to watch some scooby doo also... they said as soon as he drank 4 ounces of something and they could see that he'd kept it down that he could go home... yeah he didn't like that drinking idea haha... tried apple juice, nope. tried gatorade, nope. tried a slushie, nope. so they called the dr and got approval for him to leave without drinking anything as long as we felt comfortable with that. which we did; especially cuz my mom is a nurse and we live relatively close to a hospital... so we changed him back into football pjs and came home! he's resting now watching Cars... now onto the recovery... sorry it was so long haha... but thanks for reading... :)

Coen Update!!

K Coen is now 23 months old..... so freaking big too. he's walking everywhere and running. he's really quick. he never shuts up either! Always babbling, so cute! he loves talking on the phone too!! his favorite things are purses and shoes... year i know what that means haha but he's adorable! he's got TONS of words now too... the big ones are water and no!! what random words!! haha

Coen and I have our own apartment and it's great! i love that coen has his own room to destroy! His room is packed with toys too. he just moved to his big boy bed, well for now it's just the mattress on the floor, but i'm going to put the frame together soon. thought I'd let him get used to not having 4 walls around him before I put him a foot off the ground. Shorter fall!! haha

My little "sister" Brit is having a baby girl in May... went to her baby shower in st george. Nessa is going to be so damn spoiled!! they got so much stuff which is fantastic. she's the most adorable pregnant chic ever!!! (besides all of my other prior pregnant friends who were at least as cute as she it!!) I love her so much
