Finally Caught up!

Check out the posts I finally got up! There are quite a few!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Bryce's Bday is the 1st of February... I told him that I was planning his Bday and I was taking over Valentine's Day this year too! For his birthday, he went on a scavenger hunt for one of his presents... At the end were...

LADY ANTEBELLUM TICKETS!!!

We had an absolute blast!! I even bought a whole new outfit and went to the salon and got my hair done! All of it was a secret from Bryce! When he got home from work, I had a candle light dinner ready (OK it was 5pm so it wasn't even dark yet, but it was the thought that counts!).

Thompson Square opened and they were really good! I only knew one of their songs, but it was still a lot of fun! Next was Darius Rucker and man he was REALLY good! He is a dancing machine! He even sang a few Hootie and the Blowfish songs! Lady A was absolutely amazing! They played for nearly 2 hours! I'm so glad that we got to go! Bryce loves them!

Pine Wood Derby!

Coen and the other Cub Scouts got to participate in the annual Pine Wood Derby! Coen decided that he wanted his race car to be a red truck because that's what Bryce is hoping to buy soon! Coen and Bryce built the car together (ok Bryce did a lot of the work, but I have proof that Coen helped paint it!) Unfortunately I don't have all of our pics on the computer or I'd put more of the actual racing!

Christmas 2011!!

Wow Santa really blessed us this year! We had a great holiday together. First was Christmas morning with just the 3 of us! It was a lot of fun!
Guess what I got for Christmas!! A NEW HOUSE!! We moved in the week before Christmas! How insane is that! It's a 3 bedroom, 3 floor town home and I couldn't be more happy! We actually have room to breathe in this house! (More on the house later!! lets get back to the presents!!)

Coen was REALLY excited!!

Can you tell he just wanted to open presents and not take pics!!

Oh how I wish he could always be as angelic as he looks in this pic!!
(oh and presenting the BLOND Carly!)

Bryce finally got a video camera!
He's been wanting one for a while now!

Don't I have some good looking boys in my house!

Coen got the one thing he was BEGGING for!
A Nintendo DS!! with a few games
Thanks to Aunt Bri for selling it to us!

Does it get any happier than this pic??
I love you Bryce and thank you for another
wonderful year together and another wonderful holiday!

Cub Scouts! Lost Tooth!!

Bryce and I decided to sign Coen up for Cub Scouts. He hadn't ever heard of it and wasn't so sure about it at first, but he really likes having the "man time" with Bryce. It gave them something special to do that is for boys only and I think Coen really enjoys that aspect!

Coen also lost his first 2 teeth!! They both came out within a week of each other and no other teeth are moving at all! He was convinced that he'd lose all his teeth and never be able to eat again and he'd starve to death. Oh the minds of little kids!

Halloween 2011!!

Halloween this year was rather odd. I barely had a chance to decorate, we bought Coen's costume a week before Halloween, we didn't even take the time to think of costumes for ourselves, we didn't have any parties to go to... But we still had a fun night! I kept up the tradition of making a halloween themed meal! This year was Mummies and Mashed Potatoes with Bug Guts Gravy! (hey I have 2 boys living in my house... gross is fun here!)

Coen chose his own costume this year. He insisted on being an FBI agent! I think his costume is absolutely adorable and I love that he picked it out himself!

I HAVE A FIRST GRADER???

How on earth did this happen????? How is my BABY old enough for first grade??? Why am I the only mom here not crying? haha

Calling Bryce so he could wish him a good day!

I love this happy little man so much!! I can't believe how big he is and how mature he is getting.

Summer 2011!!

This summer was rather tame, no vacations. With me being in school full time, it made going anywhere rather difficult! We still managed to have fun!

Slip n Sliding in the back yard!

Watching the 4th of July fireworks with friends! We went to the Bountiful fireworks with our neighbors, Shawn and Sarah and their 3 girls Kamber, Azlynn, and Kendra!

We watched some crazy fireworks with family for the 24th of July! Hooray for Utah loosening up the fireworks laws!

We had a lot of fun with Shawn and Sarah! Many a game nights at their house!

I decided orange hair would be fun! (and yes I loved it!!)

Coen played in the North Salt Lake soccer summer camp! It was more of run around and wear out the kids time than an actual summer camp. It gave me 1 full hour to study though!

We even managed to have a few pool parties (bryce and coen did at least, I didn't go swimming once this summer!!) and back yard barbq's with Bryce's mom and step dad!

My little man graduated from Kindergarten!!

Sometimes I wonder how on earth, I have a son this old!! His graduation from Kindergarten was quite cute. The kids sang some songs and showed off their sign language skills. Then it was an open house where the parents could mingle and the kids could get pics with their friends and their teacher.

This is Coen and his best "girl" friend. NO she is not his girlfriend and if any one asks either of them, they get a little upset and say that they're just friends. Her name is Azlynn and she is one of our neighbors too!

Easter 2011

Yes I'm going back this far!

For Easter each year, Bryce's Grandma Diane puts on an Easter dinner and Easter egg hunt. It's not just any old Easter egg hunt either! First the kids go out. Each parent brings things (candy, toys, clothes, whatever) for the kids (great grandkids!) to hunt down. We supply the eggs too. The kids each have a section so that we know that each kid gets a fair share and there is a designated # of eggs that each parent brings for each kid! It works out great!

Then comes the "kids" hunt!!! All of the grandkids (and their significant others!!!) get to go on a hunt and this hunt is for cold hard cash!! Ok really it's coins, but still! Jim (Grandma Diane's husband) and the other "mature" adults hide the eggs around the back yard and we get to go find them! Once again there is a limit on how many you can get. It's a lot of fun! Apparently Bryce has a nack for winning each year!

From left to right: Hailey, Coen, Michael, and Kayla!

Bryce had a great time teaching Coen and his adorable cousins how to fly a kite!! I'm so happy that Coen has young cousins on this side of the family because the year before, Coen was the only kid!

Wow college is a real life sucker!!

I started going to college again about a year ago... and WOW! It literally has taken over my life! I'm utterly exhausted from all the classes, studying, and my daily schedule... I'm going to work on updating this blog! I'm nearly a year behind!!

*** BEWARE!!! Watch for the ever changing hair colors!!! ***
